We begin at Pico dos Barcelos, an iconic viewpoint in Funchal with panoramic views of the bay and the Desertas Islands. At 355 meters above sea level, it’s the perfect spot for photos and relaxation, whether at the local café or the souvenir shop.
Next, we head to Monte, a charming area located above Funchal, known for its pleasant climate and historical attractions. Visit the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte, which houses the tomb of Emperor Charles I of Austria.
